Alert Update: MV Pacific Hope Returns

Greetings from aboard the MV Pacific Hope. Thank God, we made it through the roughest part of Hurricane Beryl.  The trip from the Yucatan Peninsula was rough. Seas were high and winds were strong. We are so grateful we got out as early as we did.

As I send this update we are re-anchored just south of Cancun. Our port is still closed because of Beryl’s impact. Hopefully by the time you read this, we will be back at dock undergoing repairs. I say this because Pacific Hope did suffer damage during the trip to safe harbor west of Cuba. Sadly, a main water pipe broke and flooded twelve cabins, plus our laundry and supply rooms.

Along with the lost supplies and repair cost, we’ll need a major clean-up. We’ll assess the full damage as soon as it is our turn to enter port. Considering how Hurricane Beryl was a Category 4 storm when we shipped out of harm’s way, our damage could have been worse.

Thank you for keeping Marine Reach in your prayers every day.  Also, if God has provided for you in a special way, a gift sent today to help recover from the loss will be timely and most appreciated. Be assured, your ministry to those in need through MRG’s Pacific Hope continues. This is only because of God’s grace and your ongoing financial support.

More updates to follow.

Thank you,
Captain Marvin
