Marine Reach Global invites you to apply for a life-changing ministry outreach trip aboard our medical ship, Pacific Hope. The dates for this first ministry trip are January 5–10, 2025.

Below is what you will need to know about this exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people struggling along the waterways of the Yucatan Peninsula.

Important Details for Volunteers

Location: Puerto Morelos, a fishing town between Cancun and Playa del Carmen where most residents earn between $4–$5/day.

Duration & Cost: $100/person per night to cover food, lodging, and medical program expenses.

Preparation Highlights

Travel and Health:
- Immunizations: Ensure you have up-to-date tetanus shots and consult a travel medicine specialist.
- Travel Insurance: Mandatory for emergencies, including evacuation coverage.
- Packing: Lightweight, modest clothing; a duffel bag is recommended due to limited onboard storage.
Cultural Awareness:
- Spanish is the dominant language; basic phrases are encouraged.
- Respect local traditions and customs while engaging with the community.

Living Onboard

Accommodations: Shared cabins with essential amenities.

Community Life: Collaborative chores, weekly laundry, and no Wi-Fi onboard (occasional access on land).
